New Zealand Shipping

Our New Zealand shipping rates are:
  • Standard courier delivery for orders $100 and under: $6
  • Standard courier delivery for orders $100 and over: Free
  • Courier delivery for orders including items marked as heavy, such as large books: $40
  • Click and collect: Free
To determine shipping costs please begin the checkout process. Shipping costs are automatically determined based on the items in your cart and your delivery address. After entering your address, you can review your order with shipping charges added.

The City Gallery online store team operates during gallery opening hours. Please allow up to three business days for your order to be processed.

Once your online order has been processed and collected by our courier, we will issue you with a tracking number so you can monitor your parcel’s journey.

If you selected Click and Collect, our team will be in touch to arrange collection from City Gallery, during opening hours. If, after attempts to reach you, you have not collected your order within 30 days we will refund your purchase and return the items to our inventory.

We will advise you by email if there is an expected delay, your order cannot be fulfilled or there are any issues with your order.

All orders are sent with NZ Couriers or PostHaste. For orders shipped within the North Island, please allow 2–3 business days for delivery. For orders delivering to rural addresses and the south island, please allow an extra business day for delivery. Orders placed around public holidays and other busy periods may take longer to be delivered.

International Shipping

Our international shipping rates are:
  • Standard courier delivery: $40 or $80 for orders including heavy items*
  • Untracked Postage: $15 or $40 for orders including heavy items
  • *Orders including items marked as heavy, such as large books
  • Free shipping offers do not apply to international orders

Our online store ships to most countries in the world, however please note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

You are responsible for all customs duties, tariffs and taxes that apply to your purchase.

The City Gallery online store team operates during museum opening hours. Please allow up to three business days for your order to be processed.

If you have selected standard courier delivery or tracked postage, once your online order has been processed and collected by our courier, we will issue you with a tracking number so you can monitor your parcel’s journey. Please contact the carrier directly should there be any issues during delivery.

If you selected untracked postage we are unable to provide any tracking services or order updates once it has been collected by our carrier.

All orders, including tracked and untracked postage, are sent with NZ Couriers. Courier delivery should usually take up to 6 business days, while tracked and untracked postage can take 10-14 business days.

Returns Policy


Goods supplied through the City Gallery online store are purchased on a firm sale basis. Please choose carefully and check your order details before making payment. Returns will not be accepted for any change of mind purchase. If you receive an incorrect or faulty product, please immediately contact us prior to returning the item and we will arrange, as appropriate, either a goods exchange or a refund. Goods will not be accepted for return or refund without prior authorisation, and/or that are later than 30 days after you receive the goods. To assist with processing the return, please also return the original packaging. If your order is lost during delivery, we will send you a replacement (depending on product availability) once the maximum delivery time has expired. We ask that you contact your local mail centre before contacting us in case your order is being held. All replacement items for lost/damaged products will be shipped at our cost. Credit card refunds will be processed within 5 working days of our receipt of the goods, but may take longer than that to appear on your credit card statement. Please note that cheque refunds require a long processing time. If you cancel your order after it has been shipped, the above policy will apply.
